ENCORE Bookstore at the Vista Library

The ENCORE Bookstore is packed with books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, and jigsaw puzzles at a fraction of their original cost. Come on in and browse during store hours. You’ll find a friendly volunteer behind the desk ready to help. All sales go to supporting Vista Library programs, building improvements, new materials for the library, and special items requested by the librarian.

The store takes cash and checks and recently added the capability to charge your purchases via credit card. To use a credit card, you’ll need to open the payment app on your phone via a QR code.  We have a $5 minimum to use your credit card.

The bookstore stocks books in both English and Spanish, and there are a smattering of books in other languages as well.

The ENCORE Bookstore is located inside the Vista Library immediately after you enter. It’s on the right.  Store hours differ from library hours and are 100% volunteer-staffed:

Monday: 10-4
Tuesday 12-6
Wednesday: 12-6
Thursday: 10-4
Friday: 10-4
Saturday: 10-4 (NEW! starting January 17, 2026)
Sunday: 12-3

Ongoing Deals

Special sales events include a members-only 50% off sale every second Friday and a public 50% off sale on the last consecutive Friday and Saturday of each month for even more bargains.

We are always looking for more volunteers to take a shift at the store or be floaters.
