Marsha Cook, Master Gardener, showed the audience how to attract pollinators in their Vista garden in her informative presentation. Participants learned 3 ways to attract pollinators. Marsha discussed what pollination is, why it is important and how to encourage it in your yard or garden.

Marsha Cook is a Native San Diegan, who earned a B.S. Degree in Biology at SDSU. She retired after more than 30 years of working in the environmental field in private and public sectors. Emphasis of work included hazardous materials management and watershed protection. Marsha has been a Master Composter since 2010.

After retirement, Marsha completed training for the Master Gardeners program, in the Class of 2018. Marsha especially enjoys living a creative life which includes art and gardening with California friendly plants (those needing very little water), including natives, and plants that support birds and insects, as well as vegetable gardening.
