The Friends of the Vista Library funded a volunteer appreciation luncheon at Prohibition Brewery last Tuesday. Over 20 volunteers attended. Many Friends Board members were there along with numerous volunteers who work in the bookstore as well as in the library. Several staff members attended as well. We ordered from the menu and enjoyed the celebration cake. Orquidia Contreras, Branch Manager, made an announcement and thanked everyone for the part they play in helping the library. It was the first time in six years that an event like this had been held.
